Sarah Greenwood Buchanan

As an accomplished performer in musical theatre and professional cabaret, Sarah has performed all over New Zealand in various events and shows, in the USA, Australia and Hong Kong, in corporate entertainment, for over 25 years. 

In musical theatre her lead roles in productions such as Christchurch’s ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Anything Goes’, ‘Chess’, ‘42Street’,  ‘Chicago’, 'Mamma Mia' and 'Sister Act', and 'Wicked', have entertained audiences with acclaimed reviews.  

Her credits also include The Court Theatre’s “The Queen and I” as Princess Diana, ‘Mother Courage’, ‘Market Forces’, and ‘She loves me’ to name a few.

 

Singing ever since she can remember, and studying all aspects of dance, , she holds an Advanced Diploma in Highland and National Dance. 

 

As a Nationally Qualified New Zealand Hairdresser for over 25 years and having worked and managed for a top international salon brand ‘Mod’s Hair’ her flair for fashion is an asset to this industry and particularly The Starlets

Sarah also holds a certificate in Make Up Artistry and Design. 

 

Sarah brings to The Starlets a wealth of experience, glamour, style and polished performance.

Sarah Kelly

Sarah’s ‘gift of voice’ first debuted onstage in her hometown of Timaru, being involved in over 20 shows – from gracing the stage in leading roles, through to being a Director, Musical Director and Choreographer. From a small child to adult, Sarah competed in singing and dancing competitions before deciding to move to Christchurch to study and graduate with her degree at NASDA in 2002. Sarah also studied in later years to qualify as a Secondary School Teacher in Music and Drama.

 

Her stage accomplishments at the Fortune Theatre, and The Court Theatre, include 'Steel Magnolias', ‘The Producers’, ’Love off the Shelf’, ‘A Slice of Saturday Night’, ‘Netballers’, ‘South Pacific’, ‘My Fair Lady’, Showbiz  Christchurch's 'Mamma Mia' and many children’s shows. This quirky gem’s natural comedy skills were also given the limelight while being a member of the Court Jesters and playing in the popular, ‘Scared Scriptless’ over several years. 

 

Sarah’s extensive experience as a Professional Entertainer has taken her through New Zealand, performing in improv/comedy, Stage shows, Cabarets, as well as being MC for Charity Balls & Galas - entertaining small crowds through to audiences of 100,000 people.

 

On the stage, Sarah always brings to The Starlets, her quirky nature, a wink and some wit, her non-stop ‘gift of the gab’, alongside all the style and glamour required to call herself a Starlet!!!

Georgia Heard

Georgia has been performing as long as she can remember. This high school drama star, truly deserved the St. Margaret's college cup she was awarded, for "most likely to succeed in the arts". As she went on to Graduate from NASDA ( the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts) with a Bachelors Degree in performing arts, and musical theatre.

 

Georgia has graced the stages of the Court Theatre in numerous productions including 2014/2015's 'One Man two Guvnors'. 

This multi talented Performer is also a play write, who brings her snappy one liners to the stage as a proud member of The Starlets. 

 

Georgia, like all The Starlets, oozes glamour and embodies the professionalism, enthusiasm and talent required to Wow all audiences as a member of this unique and sought after trio.

Rebecca Boyce 

Rebecca brings to The Starlets a wealth of talent in both song and dance. Over 25 years ago, she started her musical theatre career in Dunedin, performing for Dunedin Musical theatre in numerous productions, before moving to Christchurch and joining Top Dog Theatre and Showbiz, where she continues to appear in many roles. Credits include 'Cats', 'Sandy' in Grease, 'Velma ' in Hairspray, and many more featured roles.

 

Having danced since age 4 she is holds a diploma in Highland and National Dance and is a qualified teacher and Judge. Rebecca was a finalist in the 1995 and 2001 'Young performer of the year' for Highland Dance, and also named National Dance Champion for under 16years. 

 

She has the voice of an angel and as a 4th Starlets often works extra hard to learn more than one harmony part. A true art in itself. 

 

As a qualified Zumba instructor, her slick dance moves are an added asset to our performances.

 

Rebecca brings to The Starlets her fabulous energy, faultless performance, and beautiful charm.
